This section outlines how to cancel or reschedule your NNAAP® examination and explains policies regarding absences and weather emergencies.


How to Cancel or Reschedule

You can cancel or reschedule an examination in two ways:

  • Log into your Credentia Platform account
  • Call Credentia at 888-204-6249

Online Examinations

  • You must cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours (2 days) before the scheduled date.
  • If you miss this window or fail to show up, your exam fee will be forfeited and it will count as one of your three allowed attempts.
  • Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Test Center Examinations

  • You must cancel or reschedule at least 10 calendar days before the scheduled exam date.
  • Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays are not counted as calendar days.
  • If you miss this deadline or do not appear, you will:
    • Lose the exam fee
    • Use up one of your three attempts
  • Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Absence Policy

If you're late or absent, you may request an excused absence within 14 calendar days of your exam date. Acceptable reasons include:

  • Illness (self or household member)
  • Death in the family
  • Traffic accident or ticket
  • Court appearance or jury duty
  • Military duty
  • Weather emergency
  • Incarceration

Required Documentation:

  • For illness: Verification from a medical provider
  • For jury duty: A copy of the court notice
  • Other circumstances: Supporting documentation relevant to the absence

Review Time: 3–5 calendar days
Note: Credentia’s decision is final.


Weather Emergencies

  • Exams may be delayed or cancelled only in severe weather or natural disasters.
  • If this happens, the test center will notify you by phone and email with updates.
