Online Registration and Scheduling
After completing a North Carolina state-approved Nurse Aide I training course, you must create a Credentia Platform account to apply for and schedule your examination.
Account Creation Steps
Follow these steps to create a Credentia Platform account:
- Go to https://www.credentia.com/test-takers/ncna/
- Click Login
- Click Sign-Up to create a new account
- Enter the required personal details
- Check the box to agree to the Terms and Data Policy
- Click Sign Up to complete account creation
Registration Process
- Complete your application online in the Credentia Platform
- You may seek assistance from your training program or facility employer
- You may also call Credentia at 888-204-6249 for help
Payment
Pay the exam fee using one of the following:
- Credit card or prepaid card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa)
- ACH/electronic check
- Electronic voucher
Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable
Examination Scheduling
- Use a laptop or desktop computer (not recommended on smartphones or tablets)
- Once your online application is approved, you will be able to schedule your examination within the Credentia Platform.
- After scheduling, you will receive a confirmation notice and receipt of payment via email.
In-Person Exams
- Make your reservation at least 10 calendar days before the exam date
Online Written/Oral Exams
- May be scheduled as early as 1 day after registration (based on availability)
Accommodations
Credentia complies with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to provide reasonable accommodations for candidates with documented disabilities. The purpose of accommodations is to ensure full access to the test, but they are not a guarantee of improved performance or test completion.
Accommodations may include:
- A separate testing room
- Extended testing time
- A Reader or Recorder for those with mobility, hearing, or vision impairments
Required Documentation
Candidates must submit:
- Documentation from a qualified professional explaining the diagnosis
- A description of how the disability affects test-taking ability
- Records of past accommodations (if applicable)
Accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis.
Testing Locations
In-Facility Testing (INF)
- INF testing takes place at your training program site
- Your training provider arranges a specific test date with Credentia
- Only students who trained at that INF location may test there
- You will need the INF Code and test date when registering
