Examination Day: Online Testing Guidelines
The online NNAAP® examination is monitored in real-time by a live proctor via your webcam. Follow these steps carefully to ensure a successful exam experience.
What You Will Need
- Computer: A desktop, laptop, or Chromebook with a single monitor.
- Smartphones and tablets are not permitted for testing.
- A webcam is required.
- Private Room:
- Choose a quiet, distraction-free room.
- If unavailable at home, check with your training program or local library.
- Mobile Device:
- A smartphone or tablet (Apple or Android) is needed to complete a 360-degree room scan.
- You must download the free ExamRoom AI 360 app.
- Proper Identification:
- Two (2) current, official, signature-bearing IDs (one must include a photo).
Before Examination Day
- Perform a System Test:
Visit www.credentia.com/online-exams and click “Run System Test.” - Find Your Testing Space:
- Must be quiet, private, and free of distractions.
- Prepare Your Identification:
- Make sure your documents match the name on your exam application.
On Examination Day
Step 1: Prepare Your Testing Space
- Ensure the room is:
- Quiet – No background noise.
- Well-lit – The proctor must clearly see you and your space.
- Private – No one else should be present.
- Clear – Remove all non-essential items.
- Ready – Use the restroom and get water before starting.
Step 2: Identification
- Have your two (2) forms of valid ID ready before check-in.
Step 3: Prepare Your Computer
- Disconnect additional monitors and close all unnecessary applications.
- Plug in all devices and chargers.
- Preferably use a wired internet connection.
- If using Wi-Fi, ensure it is at least 3 Mbps and minimize household usage.
- Disconnect any VPNs or firewalls.
- If taking an Oral Examination, use a wired headset.
Step 4: Download the ExamRoom AI 360 App
- Install the app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Have your Credentia Platform login (username and password) ready.
Step 5: Check In for Your Exam
- You may check in up to 30 minutes before your scheduled start time.
- Your onboarding agent will prepare you before handing you over to the live proctor.
To Check In:
- Go to www.credentia.com/test-takers/ncna
- Click Login
- Locate your scheduled exam
- Click Start Exam
Important Notes
- If you are late or do not show up, your exam fee will not be refunded or transferred.
- This will count as one of your three (3) attempts.
