This section outlines what you need to know when taking the NNAAP® examination at an official test center.
Important Notice
During check-in, the Nurse Aide Evaluator will use a mobile device to:
- Scan your identifications
- Capture your photo
This data is securely stored within Credentia’s system to verify the identity of both the candidate and test administrator.
Checking In
- You must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled exam time.
- If you arrive late or fail to attend your scheduled examination, you will be responsible for the exam fee and an unexcused absence will count as one of your three (3) examinations attempts.
- The exam fee will not be refunded or transferred.
What to Bring
Please ensure you bring the following required items:
- Proper Identification
- Two (2) forms of valid, signature-bearing ID
- One must include a photo
- One must be your non-laminated U.S. Social Security card
- Three (3) No. 2 Pencils
- Must be sharpened
- Eraser
- Analog Watch with a Sweeping Second Hand
- Digital watches and smartwatches are not allowed
Prohibited Materials
No additional materials, personal belongings, study aids, or electronic devices are allowed in the testing room.
